The square is a tribute to Georges Clemenceau, and in particular his political choices in favour of Poland’s independence and the freedom of its people.
The opening was followed by the preview of a photographic exhibition to mark the centenary of the arrival of the French Military Mission in Poland. The pictures in the exhibition show how the Mission supported the reconstruction of the Polish Army after the First World War.
